NOTIFICATION
(SALES TAX)
S.R.O. 881(I)/2018.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1), clause (b) of sub-section (2) and sub-section (6) of section 3 and clauses (c) and (d) of section 4 read with clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 8 and section 71 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, the Federal Government is pleased to direct that the following further amendments shall be made from the 15th day of July, 2018 in its Notification No. S.R.O. 1125(I)/2011, dated the 31st December, 2011, namely:-
In the aforesaid Notification,-
(a) in Table-1, in column 1, against serial number 2, in column 2, after omitted sub-serial (g), the following new sub-serial (h) shall be added, namely:-
"(h) imported raw and ginned cotton."; and
(b) after Table-II, in the conditions, in clause (ii), for sub-clause (a), the following shall be substituted, namely:-
"(a) spinning stage onwards, in case of textile sector;".

- SRO 1125(I)/201131 December 2011The scheme of zero-rating of five major export oriented sectors has been revamped to introduce a uniform rate (reduce sales tax @ 5 % instead of earlier rate of 4 % and 6%). This SRO will take effect from 1st January, 2012. This SRO is being issued in rescission of SRO 1058(I)/2011, dated 23-11-2011.
