Levy of 1% Additional Custom Duty on imports of goods specified in first schedule of Customs ACT (Superseded by 630(I)/2018)

NOTIFICATION
(CUSTOMS)

S.R.O. 1178(I)/2015.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (5) of section 18 of the Customs Act,1969 (IV of 1969), the Federal Government is pleased to levy additional customs-duty on import of goods specified in the First Schedule to the said Act at the rate of one per cent of the customs value of such goods as determined under section 25 or 25A of the said Act, except the goods mentioned below, namely:-

(a) import of seeds and spores for sowing (PCT 0904.1130, 0904.2120, 1006.1010,1209.0000);

(b) imports under Chapter 31 of First Schedule of the Customs Act,1969 (IV of 1969);

(c) plant and machinery used in manufacture or production of goods as is classifiable under Chapter 84 and 85 of the First Schedule to the Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969);

(d) imports under PCT 85.17 and 8529.1090;

(e) imports under Chapter 99 of First Schedule of the Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969);

(f) imports under Fifth Schedule to the Customs Act, 1969 (IV of 1969) excluding serial numbers, 7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14 and 15 of Table to Part III of said Schedule;

(g) imports under sub-chapters 3 and 7 of chapter XII and chapter XV of Customs Rules, 2001;

(h) imports under the Baggage Rules,2006;

(i) imports under Notification No. SRO.577(I)/2005 dated 6th June,2005;

(j) imports under Notification No.SRO.565(I)/2006 dated 5th June, 2006;

(k) imports under Notification No.SRO.693(I)/2006 dated 1th July, 2006;

(l) imports under Small and Medium Enterprises and Export Oriented Units Rules, 2008;

(m) imports under temporary importation scheme vide S.R.O. 492(I)/2009, dated the 13th June, 2009;

(n) import of old & used vehicles above 1800cc under Notification No. SRO482(I)/2009 dated 13th of June, 2009;

(o) imports under Notification No.SRO.568(I)/2014 dated 26th June, 2014;

2. This Notification shall take effect on and from the 1st of December, 2015.
