NOTIFICATION
(Income Tax)
S.R.O. 13 (I)/2021.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 237 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 (XLIX of 2001), the Federal Board of Revenue is pleased to direct that the following further amendments shall be made in the Income Tax Rules, 2002, the same having been previously published vide Notification No. S.R.O. 1341(I)/2020, dated the 16th December, 2020 as required by sub-section (3) of section 237 of the said Ordinance, namely:-
In the aforesaid Rules, in rule 34A, the following new rule shall be inserted, namely:-
"34B. Taxpayer's profile.- (1) This rule shall apply for the purposes of section 114A of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, which provides for the furnishing of a taxpayer's profile.
(2) A taxpayer's profile shall be filed electronically on the prescribed format and manner as provided on IRIS Web Portal.
(3) The taxpayer's profile shall be verified in the manner specified on IRIS Web Portal.".
